After living in Dallas for 28years, I consider myself a Texan. I was born in Kansas not far from where the photo on the cover page was taken. I was raised in a small town in Oklahoma west of Oklahoma City. It was in this small town that my passion for photography really began to grow; when my mom gave me my first camera when I was about 13years old. I have played off and on with photography since then, with it really taking root again in 2015, when my husband bought me a canon t6 to relearn my skills with a camera.

I have been doing landscape and travel photography for the last 7years. I spent this past year (2023-2024) doing photojournalism at protests. Where I fell in love with photographing babies and children at these events.

In early 2023 my youngest grandson was born and I was able to capture that amazing event from maternity to postpartum, and realized that this was something I would like to offer other families the ability to document the birth of their child in a modest and beautiful way.
